CUES IS FREE.
Yes, free. It doesn’t cost anything to become a member.
You don’t even have to be certified to dive! We are building a community, and we don’t want anyone to be left out.
CUES is Social.
We aren’t just dive club, we’re friends — and we love to make new ones. CUES has a dedicated Social and Travel committee that plans all kinds of events, in and out of the water. And, because we’re a non-profit group, we’re often able to negotiate discounts and group rates for dive trips, local charters, as well and other recreational activities that we pass along to our members.
CUES GIVES BACK.
At our heart, we’re an organization with a mission — to diversify the SCUBA community. We award dozens of scholarships to historically excluded divers, offer low-cost classes and gear rentals, and organize fundraising events to help fund our projects.
Some fine print
Once you join CUES, there are a few requirements to maintain your active membership.
Every CUES member must read and abide by the CUES Code of Ethics and Harassment & Bullying Policy when representing CUES as a society. We review this policy document each year, so you’ll have to read and sign it annually. Don't worry, it’s all common-sense, good-person policies to ensure that we’re treating each other fairly and kindly.
Voting members get extra perks for their active participation. If you attend six CUES events or meetings every twelve months (excluding as a student in a training course) you qualify as a voting member. That means you get additional discounts on classes, merch and event costs, as well as the ability to vote for Board members at our annual election.
